98 v70glt PTC nipple

Post by johnbuilds »

Hello All,
As a part of pcv system replacement I removed the PTC nipple. Good thing, as it was more clogged than any other part that I found. 209,000 miles on car so needed it!
Anyway, is it really possible to reinstall nipple without removing the turbo pipe? Or is it a waste of time to try. Spent a lot of time on it already, hardest part of project. Any advice?
Thanks so much,
John

Hi John, welcome to the forum.

I have never tried to install that with the hose still in the car. I'd say remove the tube and get it over with. LOL

I'm with rspi on this one. People post about jamming it in there, but I just take out the fresh air pipe and do it that way. If you use a little screwdriver it takes 30 seconds to push the PTC back in.

Thanks for the quick replies.
I will take the advice. I think I knew better but was trying to rush at the end of the project this afternoon.
This is the fourth volvo I have owned over the years and have come to depend on the knowledge available on this site.
Thanks again!
