Nice rebate or sweet camera on Conti's at Tirerack

Post by ThinAir »

Thought I would just pass on a little deal I came across as I price out rubber for my new wheels. Until April 4th if you buy $440 in Continental tires you can either get a $70 Visa gift card or a high def (1080p) camera called the Ion Air Pro (goes for around $200). It is similar to a Gopro in function and aim. As a videographer I am all over this. Slap it on your front quarter panel, drive like a bat out of hell, come home and transfer file, be a hero to your friends! And besides the Conti Extreme Contact DW are great tires. Win, win!

Ps. I have no affiliation with any of the companies mentioned above. Furthermore,
I have not yet used this camera or read any reviews. It might be a piece of crap.

I bought a set of the Extreme Contact DW tires under an identical promo 3 years ago and put them on my MINI Cooper S. I will never buy them again. The tread wore down to 4/32" in less than 4000 miles. I had a sidewall failure that should have been covered under their warranty, but their customer service was so obstinate that I gave up on the claim because I needed the car back on the road immediately for business purposes. Kumho and Yokohama have better tires for less money.
