Hi all,
The back edge of the sunroof - towards the tailgate sits lower than the rooftop and now leaks.
From tilt position it hits home lower than the rooftop.
From the open position, it slides closed, then the back edge rises to the flush position and then lowers when it hits home.
It's like a worn roller om a cam.
What could be the problem.
thanks,
Fred

How much lower? The factory spec is 1.2 mm below the roof line the front edge and 0.5 mm below the roof line on the back edge. The reference point for the measurement is a bit blurry but it is normal for it to be slightly inset from the roof line when you look at it.
I have had one of mine get confused about the correct closed position. I ran it all the way to the open position and then held the switch for an additional 5 seconds or so and then ran it all the way to the full vent position and and also held the switch for an additional 5 seconds. At that point mine figured out where the closed position was again. I can't find that in any manual as an authorized adjustment but it worked for me.
If it is just below the roof line and it still leaks then chances are the drain holes are plugged up.

Lee,
Thanks for the reply.
The back edge is 3.6mm below the roof line.
The front edge is almost flush.
You can almost see the bottom of the rolled roof edge because the roof is so low.
I tried the 5 sec.+ deal but it's still the same.
The other day my wife drove in a rain storm and it leaked enough that if she had soap she could have washed her hair.

If it is that far out then about all you can do is bump the switch until is reaches the actual closed position. It is a PITA and it may take several times back and forth to get it correct. If you can't get it done with the switch it can be done manually but it too is a PITA.

I'm thinking maybe it's over travel by the motor.
I say this because when you close the sunroof from it's open position the roof closes, the back end goes up flush with the roof then goes down 3.5mm like it's starting to slide back again.
Does the motor have limit stops? Something tells the motor to stop in a certain position. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Fred

Have you tried a manual calibration?
Run the roof to it's proper closed position. Drop the motor and run it full open, then full closed. Put it back in place and see what happens then

Problem solved.
I positioned the sunroof in its proper position, took the motor out,
turned the motor on to cycle open-closed. Only one problem, the motor does not have the limit stops so the motor will continue to run as long as you have power.
It was a good idea.
Next step - the glass is held in with 4 screws. The 2 rear screws run in a slot. Loosened all 4 screws -push the rear up - felt a "pop", the roof is now in correct position! Tightened up the screws, replaced the plastic shield - Hooker chocolate truffle stout! Life is good.
Thanks all for your sugestions,
Fred
