99 S70 GLT Valve Tap

Does anybody else notice a valve tap start after their car has idled for a bit. The car usually sounds fine, but if i sit in the car (while waiting for my wife who is in the store) I start to notice a very distinct valve tap coming from the engine. The car just had its 52000 mile service at the local dealer which included an oil change. Is this common or what could be causing this?
