It is pretty decent quality and includes vida 2013A, but I grabbed 2012D VM image from another post here on the forum and it works fine with that too.

Hi marshallh,

I ordered one a few weeks back which came with a 2013A VIDA. Unfortunately, I could not get it to install correctly. Log file keeps showing that it could not access the SQL. Can you tell me what windows version and other software you used to get it to install correctly? I tried the following:

Windows XP clean install, then installed express sql (tried different versions 2005, 2008, 2012)
Windows 7, tried the same SQL versions

BTW, I also tried a 2010D version that I got off the internet - got same problems.
Thanks for any help you can give.

I used the VMware image from here

You will need to install VMware Player (It's free, you have to dig a bit on their website to find it)

EDIT: Look a few topics down in this subforum. There is another link in that one too, for 2012B. You will need 7zip to extract the split-up files.

We also have the images here: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... hp?t=55027 and I've had the images running on 3 different PCs for quite a while now.

For Win XP you need to have Net Framework 3.5 (no higher than this version)

For Win 7 you need Net Framework 4.0 (again no higher than this)

Both versions are on Microsoft's site.

Does it run on windows 7 home or does it need pro?
