I've been wondering about this. How much and how long do you need to heat the plastic?

I have read about that before. Some people use Showroom New or Forever Black. Another option is bumper paint. If you already have a heat gun, that's a good option. I have read it will last a couple of years.

But give OP a break, it's never been done to *his* car, and it does look nice ... 8)

Compared to the cost of armor alls, forever black etc, the price of a heatgun isnt all that that bad. Be warned though, careful with the paint..

I am fully aware this is not anything new. Prepping my car for the season, thought I`d share my 50/50 comparison.

I've heard that this effect is only temporary and after the sun gets to it, it will look 10 times worse than it did before using a heat gun on it :(
