1994 850turbo alternate tire sizes

Hello everyone. So I'm in the market for new tires for my 1994 850turbo sedan. According to tirerack it should be 205/55/15. But I have also found that the 850turbo models were supposed to be 16" rims but mine has 15". I also see that some owners claim the original size for the 15" rims are 195/60/15. But which is it? Which size should I go with? Should I go with 195/60/15 or 205/55/15?

My 97 850 GLT also has 15" wheels with the 195/60/15 tires. I've always had excellent service from TireRack when buying winter tires for my other vehicles, so would believe that the 205/55/15 is a suitable option. Guess it depends on driving style or handling preferences. Though there shouldn't be much of a difference between the 15" tires. The 205/55 is a bit wider as well as the sidewall being a shade shorter...might look "sportier."

There is a chance the wider tires will rub the inner fender liner if the suspension is older specifically the springs, struts and bump stop on the lower control arm.
