New to forum - great info!

I'm new to this forum but not to Volvo. All I can say is that there is some amazing information on this site. In fact, I used it yesterday after I picked up a used '02 S40. The Land Rover dealer (where I purchased it from) asked me to bring the vehicle back to have the service light reset. They supposedly had ordered a part to have it done. I came here and got the exact info I needed. I still need to go back to thee dealer to have the paint touched up. So far, I am very satisifed with the S40.
Long story, but we wen out to purchase a '01 Honda CRV for my daughter but could not get the Honda dealer down on the price of $11K. Left that dealership and on the way home decided to stop at this Land Rover dealer. They happened to have this beautiful 'desert wind' S40 with winter and sport premium package for $11.4K. There just is no comparison between the Volvo and the Honda IMO. So now we have 3 Volvos in the garage. Great job and more power to this site.

It's nice to hear good reviews and not only about problems.
I know what you mean about Volvo's being hard to beat.
When my son turns driving age next year, that's what we're getting him (by no means a new one...probably a 240). We too will be a 3 Volvo family!

Do all CD/radios on the Volvos require a code? The code card for the vehicle is blank so I do not know what the code is if I ever loose power to the radio. Is there a way to access the code based on VIN or Radio model number?

Yes, prove ownership of your car with your VIN and the dealer will give you the code. From what I understand all of these cars have a code except for the newer HU units (ours being SC) which are "married" to the car by a software download to the ECU.
