Everyone,
Still looking for some advice.
I've got a Volvo 850 GLT w/ approx 165k miles.
I've had P0410 issues off and on for the last few months. As the car won't pass inspection with the CEL illuminated, I've been trying to diagnose the issue.
I'd replaced all of the vacuum hoses as part of the system. This stopped the CEL for a month, then it reappeared. I ran the code, P0410 once again.
So, I bit the bullet and hit FCP. I purchased a new Valve, Pump, and Relay. Spent the better part of Wednesday morning installing all three with a new hose running from the check valve to the pump and put everything back into the car (battery tray and battery). I restarted the car and, bam, the code is still there.
I've since reset the code, and am anxiously awaiting the results of my labor. If the code reappears, and I'm worried that it will, what should I check next?
1997 850GLT - P0410 , the saga continues

You could have solved the problem with the 99-cent diode from Radio Shack.

Just don't tell our lovely government you are doing it.
