Anyone have an idea how long it would take an average shadetree mechanic like me to pull a manual transmission + components?
- pedal assembly
- two control cables, and the shifter assembly that replaces the auto shifter
- master cylinder, slave cylinder, and pressure line.
- clutch assembly
Time spent pulling manual transmission?

what equipment have you got?
how much light, space, &c?
is it a junkyard car? ie, do you care to keep the whole car in perfect shape or can you take some creative shortcuts?
i's got no idea how long it should take but i'd guess the answers to these questions are going to have a major impact on the time it takes to do the job

It's a local part out car, on it's way to the crusher. I'd have my AC impact wrench and hand tools. I'd bring my floor jack, ramps and stands.
No idea on space, light etc.

Issue will be with the trans removal. If no lift, then you will need to jack it up and lower subframe. Once you have the subframe lowered figure 1.5 hrs to pull the trans and clutch and 2 hours for the pedal, cables, switches, ecm,tcm etc. ( That's at full speed)
With no idea of whats available for equipment I would bring, the jacks, stands and tools, at least 1 friend and dedicate 7 hours to it. You could be out in 3-4hrs but I would show up early, bring coffee for all and pack a lunch. This way at closing time you will have it.
