I live in Athens, GA and I paid $1400 (from an Atlanta buy-here-pay-here lot) for my S70 with 145,000 miles and only typical age-related (neglect) issues.

NO, IT WAS NOT AND STOP SAYING THIS
FORD had absolutely nothing to do with P80 cars PERIOD in any way, shape or from

The only thing I ever heard bad about the ford match-up was from my brother who bought a brand new S40 which was for all practical purposes a Mazda I think. But we are talking about a guy who now drives a Prius, not somebody into cars. I haven't owned an American car for a million years, trucks, yeah, but no cars. If I were going to do it, I think I'd buy a ford though. Even Volvo has lost it's way as it moves "upmarket". A term that makes me cringe and curse.

500 is a steal. Basicly all you are paying for is a tranny and small components. So with a blown engine they are on some kind of drugs to ask for how much a running one is worth.

Good find tho. All local salvages here won't offer vehicle buys. Or they do if you pay for everything in the car seperate which is more than it is worth.
