I have a 1983 760 GLE with the D24T in it. It has an automatic trans in it now, but I am looking into swapping it to a manual trans. I am interested in the M47. But I have some questions.. Would I need to get a special bell housing for the diesel? For example, if I found a donor 760 with a gas engine & M47 trans, it probably still wouldn't bolt up right?
I used to have a 1982 240 wagon with the D24 and M46, but didn't like the electronic OD due to unreliability.
Thanks, Spenser

That would be the easiest lol but I think it may be hard to find such a thing.
I have an extra automatic tranmission, if I had to make a bell housing I could sacrifice it. The other major hurdle I just thought of is a flywheel. Iwonder if they are the same gas to diesel?
