Got the car this month and I've wanted to spent some time catching up on maintenance and fixing it up. Other than the flat battery, starts fine, shifts fine, drives fine. No codes. Turbo boosts. Some belt noises, leaks oil at cooler connection. Needs a good going over with filters, fluids etc.
The big problem that gives me pause is slow dripping of gas from the top of the gas tank when the car is running. From what I can see through the pump inspection holes, a metal fuel line is rusted and mists gas vapor. I'd rather not drop the tank on AWD in my garage without a lift, and the car's started too cheap to be worth a mechanic's repair. I can get half my money's worth at the scrap yard, but that might be a waste of a decent car.
So I'd rather pass it on to someone who's more capable. Would prefer to see the whole thing go, but maybe it's easier to part it out. Located in Toronto. I've driven car parts for delivery as far as New York and Washington, so something similar can be worked out if necessary.
