2004 xc90. High Idle on start up
I just purchased a xc90 a few months ago so fa so good, but what happens with a cold start there is a pretty high idle for about 60 seconds then goes to a more normal idle any help or comments would be greatly appreciated thank you

Mine does the same thing. I'm pretty sure that's normal. It still does it for about 10-20 seconds when temperature is +1C. I'm sure you're fine.

Totally normal. High idle and engine is a bit coarse. The cam timing is set to a pretty radical setting and ignition timing is retarded. Warms catalysts, oxygen sensors, and coolant faster if you do not drive off. If you crank it and place it in gear it goes to a reduced idle and normalized setting for cam and ignition timing.
2002 and later turbo engines all have this functionality.
