all good. i am declaring the car fixed. feels good.

next job is timing belt, then suspension, brakes and maybe transmission flush.

Transmission flush is easy, just do that one at the next normal service.
I need to do the timing belt on my in laws V40 soon as well.

I found the ecu but it is bolted in such a way that I cant tell what the label says and havent had chance to look into it further.

I see that you are a kiwi... I lived over there for a few years on the Kapiti Coast, good times.

not a kiwi... thats a relief... ha ha. sorry cant watch plugins for some reason on nexus 7, will check it out on the laptop later.
