2008 s60 still smoking

Just replaced the PCV system on my S60, as well as dropping and cleaning the oil pan/sump. Thing still smokes like a fogger truck.

I had the turbo off, and it spun free and didn't look too bad (can't see that much). Some of the banjo bolts were clogged with oil/sludge. Cleaned what I could.

Question is... Next step. Should I rebuild the turbo? My thought is that there is a blown seal in the turbo that is passing oil to places it shouldn't be.

Quick note. The car absolutely needed a PCV replacement. Completely failed the glove test earlier. Passes with flying colors now.

Have yu driven it enough to clear catlayst of oil?
Check the hose that goes to rhrottle for signs of oil, you may have oil in the intercooler from the past problem that is still being blown into intake.

Yes, you could have stuck seal rings in turbo but perfect bushings nad no axial or radial play.

I drove it about two miles, but was afraid of causing an accident. Let it idle in the driveway for another 30 minutes afterwards with no noticeable difference.

If it is the turbo, would it smoke at idle as well as under boost?

Big shout out to GPop. Turbo cleaned and rebuilt. There are cheaper kits out there on eBay, but I don't know the quality and the service from these guys is great. Called several times with questions and they walked me through it.

After an initial burnoff, the smoke seems to have stopped. Fingers crossed.
