Hello,
My 2004 S80 T6 would start, run for 5 seconds then shut off. Second attempt same thing,
next attempt won't start and battery is run down. If I hook up a battery jumper and disconnect
the tube(hose) running from the air box to the throttle it will run if I keep my foot on the gas.
Any ideas what it could be would be appreciated. Thanks

The engine computer can dump its fuel mixture learning memory with a weak battery. Disconnecting the hose may be offsetting the fuel mixture enough to let it run a little.
Charge the battery, if it will take a charge, and then start it and see if you can keep it running and then drive it and let it idle so the fuel mixture compensations are learned again.
Then let it sit. Then after 30-45 minutes see if it starts and runs OK.
