Landrovers have infinitely variable wiper speeds - or is that just Lucas electrics oscillating through their intermittent burn up cycle???

Does your X3 have the programmable sweep time function?
Several makes use that on top of intermittent when there is no rain sensor. My 550i has rain sensor and I found nothing in manual about programmable sweep time.

The 2006 has a dial to manually set wiper interval.

The newBeetle has a rain sensor which works well. Does anyone know hoe those things work? Optical?

Burying the heater core behind the dash on the early RWD volvos has gotta be #1 for everybody owning those models.

P2 series S60 and V70 centre console cup holder lids that break all their tabs and become useless objects.

The lid isn't available separately so purchase of the entire cup holder is required for replacement at great cost.

Come to think of it the dash mounted cup holders in the P2s are either broken or have a non returning spring.

The (early?) P2 power drivers seat that only allows adjustment for so&soshort after starting, no readjustment possible if you get tired of the current position after longer driving & in the rare occasion that she's driving, she's having fun with it too, usually she gets in, closes the door, starts the car, puts her purse away & now the seat already won't move anymore & of course she never programmed her position into memory...
Another point for me in the P2 60/70 is the short arm rest in the door card, when I steer with the left (left steered car) all is good, when I steer with the right or am sitting in the passenger seat I can't comfortably rest my arm there, running out of room & have to keep the elbow awkwardly forward to still stay on the arm rest.

Not sure about the mentioned intermittend wiper issue, Volvo Trucks & some BMW simply time the interval between the intermittend position being switched on & when you think now it should wipe again you switch it off & on again & now the module maintaines that timeframe between wipes, had a couple of fellow drivers complaining about these stupid Volvo Trucks with no adjustment to the intermittend
wipers, READ THE MANUAL! It really helps sometimes ;-) Do the mentioned cars possibly use the same mechanism? For the life of it I can't remember how it worked in my 850.
