I am replacing the dash on my s70 and the steering wheel has seen much better days. I have an extra steering wheel that I bought from someone but I didn't realize it does not have the metal bracket inside it that has the two bolts to mount through the airbag. My question is does anyone know if this is easy enough to take out of another steering wheel, say the one that is on my car and put in the new steering wheel?
Another question is, would you use a steering wheel from a car that has had the airbag deployed, with of course your own new airbag in it, or are there sensors in that old wheel that may be damaged? Here is a pic of the wheel I have (bottom), notice it is missing the metal track inside like the one (top). Also would you ever put in an airbag from a junk car that hasn't been deployed? Opinons? Thanks guys.
