1995 Volvo 850 service light flashing and lambda light lit

good afternoon
my name is adi, I come from Indonesia

want to ask
I have a 1995 Volvo 2500cc 850GLT
Alternator service yesterday, after completion why service lights flashing and lambda light lit
I have tried resetting but no success
I have tried cleaning MAF socket with contact cleaner, and cleaning MAF with MAF cleaner
I have tried clening o2 socket sensor, none of the above success
Are there any suggestions?

By service light flashing I assume you mean the check engine. The easiest step is to check the code with the box under the hood. Many tutorials on how to do that. That code will give you a rough estimate of what to fix. Possible your mechanic just left a wire unplugged.

Not sure if it is the same on the 8850s post 96 but I assume flashing cel still means misfire that damages the cat? That code will help determine what to check in the ign system

Edit: just saw you said lambda light is on. I need to read slower lol

There really isn't a valid reason for the Service light to flash. That said, you aren't the first person that this has happened to. Since you have a 1995 model try to reset the service light and see if it will quit flashing. To reset the light plug the DTC flywire into port A-7. Press the button 4 times (the led should light) press the button once. After the led comes back on press the button 5 times, and then after the led comes back on press the button once. At that point you can turn the key back off and then start the car again and see if the Service light is still flashing.

If the Service light is still flashing then the instrument cluster itself has a problem and the best remedy is to remove remove the instrument cluster and then take the lamp out. It is also a good time to change out the other lamps.

The Lambda light is the same as a check engine light. Check for error codes in Port A-2 and A-6. Depending on which engine management system you have port A-6 may or may not read anything at all.

Once you get the codes post them back.
