Post by Brian Fleming »

hey everyone, i've found most of the things i'm looking for but i read on a page that I can get a new ECU for an 850 turbo that boosts the HP from 225 -> 275. I don't know if this is fact, but i'm still looking for a good ECU chip that will make my car preform better....if you could help me out it would be great. thanks for the help so far!

ECU:
Again, IPD... reports are always 'fair' to 'great.' I've read about several other brands, and those owners have reported mixed results. Some you have to ship your ECU far away for a week and have it flashed (car not driveable during this time). IPD sends you your new one, then when you send them your old one they cancel a $1000 or so credit card charge. It's a standard recycling thing.

You should also get their exhaust too. They say you can damage things if you flog your Volvo with their ECU but without their (or any) aftermarket exhaust. See their site for more info on this.

Wheels:
My friend Andy, on atlanticwheels.com: "The Momos i bought from him were about $800 less than anywhere else...the guy over there seems pretty cool...but still waiting...don't know about their service yet."

Does anyone have info on Superchips on an 850 T5??? It's much cheaper than an entire box replacement from ipd besides a 25-30% increase in power is fine with me. Who has it on his car? Is it worth it?

Any info would help.

Thanks!
