Hello guys!
I was thinking, is that possible to fit a 2005-2007 headlights on a 2001 V70? Mine has the wiper as well...

I swapped the later lights in to an 04 S60 which is the same as you are proposing to do, not difficult but you do need the wiring diagrams and some electrical knowledge to work out what's what, the lights simply bolt straight in it is the electrics than you have fun with - Mike

I'm telling you, don't do it!
You can't imagine the issues I've been having with these POS plastic headlights.
EVERY SINGLE 05-07 I buy the lights are clouded up, some lightly, some are awful.
Most can be refinished but this needs to be done every couple of years and the ones that are very bad never look as new after refinishing, they got so bad.
My own car has 60K, Xenons, and have some schmutz on the INSIDE of the lens, so for all intents I'm screwed!
They cannot be refinished! &*(#^&*#^$*&&#$^

Wonder why Volvo plastic headlamps (and others *cough nissan) go to pot so quickly. I saw a 2007 the other day that had a bad case of glaucoma.
My folk's 97 Civic has plastic headlights, and they are just now, after 17 years, starting to fade a bit on the top. Other than that they look brand new

Only reason I could see to change from glass to plastic is if your driving conditions cause the glass to frequently get stonechipped, though this would also cause the plastic lights to go blind quickly, they just wouldn't be physically broken all the time.
If you were to convert to plastic, you'd have to deactivate the headlight wipers or convert to high pressure washers as the wipers would scratch the plastic blind in no time.
