98 S70 Glt running tail lights/position lights not working.

Post by MikeS70GLT »

I just got pulled over because my tail lights/position lights are not working. The brake lights work fine when the brake pedal is engaged but the tail lights that stay on when the head lights are turned on are not working. I checked the fuses in fuse locations 23 and 24 and they seem to be fine. I also checked the connections for the wire harnesses in the trunk which also seem intact. I haven't checked the bulbs yet because it seems odd that all the bulbs would stop working at the same time. Any advice or insight would be extremely helpful, I avoided a ticket this time out but I might not be so lucky next time.

At the switch for the lights on the console? I'll give that a try

Well it did turn out to be the bulbs. All 4 of them. My trunk support is shot and apparently the bulbs went bad from the trunk slamming. However this small incident did get me to join this great forum so there's a bright side to everything. My next question is radiator mount bolts. Size and where to get. Thanks!
