2002 xc70 vibration on front transmission

Post by fgmr »

My car vibrates when in acceleration . i think it comes from the right side , but in the shop they say it's from the left. They want to change the left drive shaft. the problem is that my car has MANUALtransmission and on e-bay we can find lots of axle shafts but only for automatic.
Someone knows one store or manufaturer where i can buy one or both?

Typically, it's either the axle shaft or the lower arm bushings. Make sure the shaft has play (or a sheared dust boot) so you don't replace it for nothing. If the lower arms bushings are 'crushed' (not centered) I'd replace them in the first place.

Don't know if the automatic axles fit manual, you can check on european forums where people drive manuals and could possible know http://volvoforums.org.uk/
