2001 S40 Code PO133 Help!!!!

Post by nelschri »

I have a PO 133 code (O2 sensor slow intake) coming up on my car. I have already changed the O2 sensor (before the Catalyic converter), the spark plugs, the thermostate, and the fuel filter. My car is taking a while to start 2-4 seconds and is chugging when having to climb a hill or accelerate. Does anyone have any idea's? Is this happening to anyone else? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like a vacuum hose leak, an intake hose leak or a MAF sensor going out. Check all of those things. Also double check that you replaced the 02 sensor with the right one.

Hello.
Did you figure what is going on?
I have the same problem. I replaced oxygen sensors. (direct fit ones!)
I haven't change thermostast. Do you know how this may generate the problem?
By the way, ussually when the MAF sensor is not working you can not start
the engine.
Thanks.

I have checked all the vacume hoses and have had no luck. My car is taking a longer time to start then usual so my next move is to check the MAF sensor. If you have any luck with anything please let me know.
