That was a hell of a game. I found myself cheering, shouting and basically being a USA supporter. Out of nowhere.

I think the game is so easy to watch. I didn't need years of watching soccer to understand what was going on. It's all right there. As opposed to American football, baseball, and to some degree basketball, where not knowing the rules and flow can make watching it painful.

Its exciting to see an attack form and the pinpoint passing to setup the easy finish. As one who was the 'goal maker' but rarely the goal scorer I still appreciate the players who paint an artistic goal with a great pass to space

Played their hearts out, but well deserved 2-1 win by Belgium.

GK Tim Howard is a World Cup legend now. As a former defender, I love the way he helps his backs up after they cover the line or stop an attacker. You love playing for a keeper who saves your hide when you get beat.

Germany France sucked eggs, (congrats to the Krats) but Brasilia -Colombia was epically good.

Germans must be salivating as they now face Brasilia without Silva (too many Check engine lights) nor Neymar (back)

Costa Rica - Netherlands was another epic game.

Costa Rica played a beautiful formation defense, working like an ME7 in perfect tune, catching the Orange offsides 11 times or something crazy like that.

Im picking ARG to beat NED, but BRA-GER too close to call without Silva/Neymar. I guess when in doubt, bet on the home team.

Ill go with ARG to win the Cup.
