1999 S70 AWD weird speedometer problem
I've searched all around the internet and not found anything (yes I've gone through the millions of ABS sensor related speedometer problems as well) but here goes. The other day one of the bulbs in my instrument cluster was out. I pulled the cluster out and replaced them all with LEDs and then then put it back together. Now the speedometer isn't accurate at all. I'm about to get all Canadian on you and explain this in KM/h and not MPH (sorry but our instrument clusters don't have both, only KM/h) Anyways the speedometer needle will read at 0 when I put the car into drive but as soon as I take my foot off the brake, it will jump right to 60 km/h. When I actually accelerate sometimes it will move up from 60 and sometimes it will stay still. I went to the junkyard and replaced the faces from a junked 99 S70 and it worked a bit better but it would only move up in intervals of 15 or 20 KM/h, not smoothly at all. I would stop the car and it would stay at the speed I was going until the car was completely stopped then would fall to about 20, 0 if I hit the dashboard. So I took the dash apart again and attempted to blow out any dust or anything and put it back together and now it's just doing the same thing it was doing at first. Did I screw up my cluster? I know 99's and 00's are really finicky when it comes to replacing them, I've heard they may even need a dealer program.
If I paid attention to signs with little symbols I’d never find anywhere to park.

Forgot to mention, engine temp, gas gauge and revs are all normal. Not sure if my trip/odometer is though but they are moving.

It wasn't loose, I took it apart and put the cluster in without the plastic cover. I had to readjust the speedometer needle while the car was driving. I'm sure it'll stop working a week from now but we'll see.
