1998 v70/s70 spare parts .

Post by Mre92 »

Hi. I went to the scrapyard today looking for alloys for my s70. I didn't have much luck appart from finding a 98 reg v70. It seems like all or most parts are still on it and I will go back tomorrow morning with some tools to harvest some parts. I have planned to take the side panel window switches from both front doors as mine have gone weird in the sun, glove box as mine is trashed by previous owner as well as the drive shaft bolts as one of mine broke when I read the torque presure wrong. Is there any other parts that anyone would recomend me to take? I'm looking for those easy to take/expensive to buy parts to keep for myself if needed. Is the startmotor hard to get out? I think mine might be on the way out.

I was also wondering if these alloys would fit my current tyres. I have not yet found them exept for bad condition ones on ebay.

I have done some research and the bolt circle should match up and I believe these alloys should be standard as 15".

Sorry for not having the best english writing and thanks for reading.

Those wheels won't fit your current tires, but if the price is right I would buy them anyway. They look in fabulous shape. It never hurts to have a spare set of wheels, especially if you want to have a set of dedicated snow/slick/autocross/specialty tires. I had two sets of wheels/tires and it came in quite handy when someone stole 2 wheels from my car while it was parked on the street. I simply brought over my spare wheels and drove away (fortunately they left my lug bolts lying on the ground). If I hadn't those spare wheels, I would have missed work that day with no pay, gotten a $130 parking ticket at a certain time each day the car was still there, and then had to source replacement wheels & tires when time was of the essence and shopping for bargains was not an option.
