97 850 loctite color on throttle plate

Getting ready to do the throttle plate on my 850, as i took everything apart to clean it. What color loctite should i put when putting the throttle body back together? i have seen some post that say red, while others say blue

Use blue loctite if you plan on taking it apart again in the future; red is pretty hard to break loose without applying lots of heat.

Blue like regent said. And I don't know, this may only be me--but I only use it on the uppermost threads of the bolt near the shank or head. That way if there is any kind of problem loosening it in the future, there are still good threads deeper in the hole. If this is a bad practice, someone who is more informed please correct me.

This sounds great! do you think a hair dryer will get hot enough to loosen the bolt or will i have to try something else?

If you already have red loctite in there, the hairdryer method is a joke. If not, then try a drop ot two of some penetrating oil like PB or Liquid Wrenck but be careful not do get it on the TP Sensor or wiring. Give it some time to work.
