Hasn't anyone here taken into acct the VIN split in mid/late 98?
Many drivetrain parts do not work from earlier cars to later cars and vice versa and I also thought the bevel gear is different

I'm going to have to send this back and settle up with the seller for a return since it looks like this is a situation like JRL describes or that the donor part was somehow modified by the previous owner.
Any advice on a source for a good used AW50-42LE for a 1998 v70xc? Trying to decide whether to start from square one or punt and sell the wagon.
