94 Turbo Wagon 940 - Overheating, Disappearing Coolant

Post by cvsm01 »

Hi, I could use some input.

Symptoms:
Overheating
Disappearing Coolant (no visible leaks)
Heater blowing cold.

My oil looks normal, not creamy so I don't think it's a head gasket issue. Radiator was replaced 3 months ago.

Does this sound like a heater core issue, water pump issue, or neither?

I had a heater shut off valve that wouldn't leak at idle. Revved the engine and found the leak.

If heater valve is working OK...Replace Water Pump (and timing belt, idler pulley)

Add coolant...examine exhaust pipe
