The seats will bolt in with no problem. The electric plug to operate the seat motors will be compatable. You will also have to work around the seatbelt attach points on the seat frame.
The airbag deployment systems are completely different. There are several posts on seat swapping that go into detail why the two systems will not work together.
I installed front seats from a 2000 v70 into our 94 850.

If the donor is a 2000 it will work but with a 2001 and beyond they won't bolt up.

With an 06/99 build date and a Y in the 10th digit on the VIN the car is a 2000 model. The seats will bolt up just fine but I believe the SIPS trigger is different. On a '98 I think the SIPS is still pyrotechnic while on the 2000 I believe it was electronically triggered. At the end of the day you may wind up without an operational SIPS system. From my perspective that isn't a huge deal, I grew up with cars that didn't even have a seat belt, much less SRS and SIPS, somehow I managed to live through it. Go ahead and disconnect the battery anyway before you start or you could trip an SRS fault.
Grab everything you can with the seats including chopping off the connectors as far back in the car as you can. There may be some cutting and splicing involved to get the seat controls and heaters to work. Schematics will also be your friend, you can get them from:

Get them for both the '98 and the 2000 so that you can compare them on re-installation.

Side airbags won't work, 99s and 2000s are different from 98s and you will always have a code.
Why would you want BASE cloth and VINYL seats over leather?
Pretty sure seat heaters and seat switches are a bolt in, just a problem with the side airbags
