NEED Volvo Owners with Leaking Moonroofs/Sunroofs

Post by cnceditor »

Hey MVS Members,

I'm an editor with CarNewsCafe.com and we are searching for people that have had the infamous Volvo Leaking Moonroofs/Sunroofs. We want owners to share stories and experiences with us if you'd had leaking issues with your Volvo. We are planning to write-up a story and editorial and want to pull as much information as we can.

Some questions we'd liked answered;
  • When did the leaking start?
    How long have you had to deal with it?
    Did you talk with any Volvo reps? Was it frustrating dealing with Volvo?
    Were you surprised Volvo did not issue a recall or pay for the repair? Especially since it could have been an easy fix.
    Did you get the problem fixed? How much did it cost?
    Have you had recurring leaks?
    Has the water in the car caused other damage? What did that cost to repair?
    Does this experience make you loose faith in Volvo as a brand?
    Would you buy another Volvo in the future?
From what we can tell this is an issue Volvo failed to fix for over a decade and didn't address it until fairly recently. We've never seen so many complaints about issues with Leaking Moonroofs/Sunroofs from one particular brand.

If you'd like to share you story and have your voice heard, please email and get in touch;

You are in the wrong place. BMW has much more problems with sunroofs in both my experience and based on forum posts. Horrible way to gather data for a story, btw.

Is the sunroof thing really that common? I don't think I've come across any posts regarding it.
