My 93 850 GLT has run great from the day I bought it. It must have excellent hearing though becaause the minute I commented on trading up things started to happen. My fan is the most recent problem. It started with a loud squeeking noise and then failed all together. Is there more than one fan and is there any other reason it would stop? It started by its self once but nothing happens now.
Thanks for any help

Don't have one
Good news and bad news. First the good. It's relative easy to remove and replace the fan. You access it by removing the glove box and then the knee bolster. The plug is a little tricky but not too difficult.
Bad news you ask? It's expensive. The part alone is over $100.
Good luck, not that you'll need it.

Well, the nasty deed is done. If anyone wants the quick fix... open it up ,lubricate with grease and through it back together. I bought the new part and found that with a little bit of effort and cleaning the old one ran fine. Having said that I did put in the new one ... murphy's law and all.. I now have a spare or one for sale depending on how you look at it. In the end... no big deal

I have a '93 Volvo 850 GLT. Perhaps this question has already been answered, but my blower fan seems to be weak when put on its highest setting. Does anyone know why and perhaps how to fix it?
