Are Pro Parts Sweden also URO?

Post by Ben850 »

I had experienced the issues with URO plastic and/or rubber parts already. The word on the block is not good.
When ordering from FCP, I needed heater hoses quickly, but was on a budget this month and ordered Pro Parts Sweden.
I can explain in detail at a later time why I was ignoring the heater hoses when going silicone with everything else plumbing related in one installation.

My point here is, FCP sent me URO Parts hoses when I had ordered Pro Parts Sweden.

I am irate (expletive replaced). It is a holiday weekend, and I will not be able to speak to anyone at FCP until next Tuesday. Therefore I have to install this URO crap until I can order OEM parts, because that seems to be the only legitimate replacement.
I did not have $160.00 on hand when the unfortunate break happened.
Fortunate to happen 1/2 mile from home. Glided in neutral the last two blocks, engine off.

So are the names URO Parts, and Pro parts Sweden interchangeable now?

EDIT: Previously written before opening the box marked URO Parts, sent from California.
Look at the solder sweats.

I will not install.
I will not install.
So that was hose #1.
So that was hose #1.
Is this a used part? Hose #2.

Where IS the actual solder?

They are both going back.
They are both going back.
No way will I install either of these hoses in my car. I was told, (by an FCP associate, through an e-mail, that my suggestions were listened to when I put forward the idea as to not be a purveyor of shoddy parts noted from experience. Named of which was URO.

I think it may be a rush to fill an order to get it out of the way before the holiday.
If they did care of my thoughts, the thousands of dollars I have spent on parts over the past few years, (on my own vehicles) from them should indicate a respected customer.

I think I will do my best to relax until Tuesday.

Hehe FCP sent me a no-name repackaged CV boot with an inner instead of an outer 4 weeks ago. They promptly refunded the $4.50 for the Empi boot. Then I ordered a Pro Parts Sweden CV boot from another (local) purveyor and rejected it. I understand that you want the correct parts and we all do however do you really think Pro Parts would have been any better and if so was this based on any online feedback about their heater hoses?
