8th one in two weeks with holes drilled in it, which is a good thing being that we had to go school shopping this week.

This one is my favorite, the hole was so small that it really didn't accomplish anything.

On one of my videos I tell people that a common issue is the 2 prong connector pins go bad and that you can drill 2 small holes in the case, solder through them, and that may fix it. If not, send the darn thing to Matt. So, It looks like the 2 hole trick is not working out to often. LOL

According to Matt, I still hold the record for the most butchered unit top removal. LMHO, When he got one of the ones that I opened and tried to fix, it looked like I opened the darn thing with a chain saw, then let a 4 year old glue it close with some silver silicone. Real hack job from a pro. ;)

Matty repairs ABS units as a business, with a fine reputation for customer service and value, as well as giving free advice here frequently.

People opening these things up and trying to repair them is a pretty good source of business for him, I bet. When you get someone like this who does these things everyday, you have to be really low on cash to contemplate doing this yourself.

Agreed! Coming from a Scot.... there will be a finite number of these out there for Matty to fix for us. How many of us like working on someone else's butcher job repair. For the small amount he charges us relative to a new unit, and his warranty, also the fact he sends you one out before you return yours to minimise your down time, leave it to those that know best....! There are plenty other parts I can destroy in the name of repairs on Volvos.

They can be difficult to open. It took me almost a year to get the kid that works for me to get one open, but once he got it he opened 45 of them in a little over an hour. He can clean one inside and out plus get it open in about 3 minutes. I hook him up because I despise cleaning them, it's incredibly dirty.

I still have to fix and test them myself, he can't drive a stick and the kid across the street has issues with it too.

Well, I'm going to have to go back on my promise. Someone beat me to this ABS module. I pulled it yesterday and it has been "repaired" already. I'll ship it out today.
