1998 V70r - Radio Reception

Post by chexny »

I am having a weird problem that occurs infrequently. On FM radio, I am picking up both the local sports station I want to hear and some radio station that is ~150 miles away (straight line across the map). The sound cuts back and forth between the two. 99% of the time I get the local station with good reception. But everyone so often I will pick up this other station. Today I heard for example an entire commercial for the far-away station then it started cutting back and forth again. Both come in - it is just switching between the two and sometimes I can hear both talking over each other so to speak. Pretty impressive I am getting the signal but not exactly what I want either.

Does anyone know of a setting or what could be the cause here?

Chances are, the far away station is using to much power.
