'94 850 Turbo-Burning smell through vents and smoke from exh

Post by IG-88A »

Telltale pcv symptoms, yet pcv system was done in May using 5/8 in. heater hose in place of hard pipe from ptc to catch can. Still have vacuum at dipstick per glove test and no smoke from the tube. Yet today I replaced the radiator, let it idle for a while to burp the system, then got in to go for a spin. Started smelling that noxious oil smell like I did when the pcv was bad, and also noticed a trail of smoke in my wake. At the next intersection, I noticed puffs of smoke as I waited for traffic to clear, but the symptoms cleared up after a 15 minute drive. The only thing different that I can think of is the 30 minutes of idle to get the bubbles out of the cooling system. But why would it do this? The mere glimpse of those symptoms all over again have me feeling sick.
