After 2 weeks of ownership

After owning my 850 for two weeks these are my thoughts: I love the brakes. They are exactly want I want as far as feel/pressure. Replacing the rear rotors and pads was the easiest brake job ever. I hate sensitive vehicles where one has to brake with only your big toe. The suspension is typical of European type vehicles. You can feel the road! My sister just bought a new V70. It is too soft for me.

Two very minor issues: NO cup holders and the blinker relay is very loud. I can hunt down that relay and wrap it in foam, but the missing cup holders is a complete mystery?

After doing a lot of work on her, I only have three more items on my immediate hit list: the lower radiator hose, new larger door speakers, & a tranny flush. I have all the stuff but the weather as finally become very cold in New Jersey, so it may have to wait until it warms up a bit.

Sorry for the question, I just read your other post about doing the belt. Good job! I'm still awaiting my estimate on a valve job.

Doesn't your car have cup holders that pull out from the top of the center arm rest? If not you could change the arm rest out so that it will have them. Also, on eBay as well as IPD they sell some cup holders that fold down, but you have to screw them onto the door panel or side panel of your center console, etc...they do work fairly well though.

Here's is the original in the arm rest:

Here is the fold down type:

No I do not have that integrated armrest cup holder. I have the 855 or the wagon if that matters. I would like that armrest however! Something has to be done. I can

if you are diligent you can find a cup holder that fits onto your emergency brake. It works great and doesn't get in the way. Its about $4. I got mine at a swap meet. The other option and more available is a dual cup holder called a wedgie. It fits between the seat and the console. Many stores and auto parts stores sell them.
