1998 XCV70 Engine removal

Post by thaedge »

Anybody have any experience with removing the engine. Would you recommend out the top our out the bottom? Is there an option where I can leave the turbo attached? Is it possible/reasonable to remove the automatic transmission while leaving the engine intact (I need to replace the rear main seal).

Thanks

Hi Edge, welcome to the forum.

I just pulled the motor on a V70, not XC, and I pulled it out of the top. Will probably be a little different with the AWD car. Will post a video within the next day or so.
