Well now you do. I own a 1964 red PV 544. It has been in my possession for 32 years. I am nearing completion of a ground up restoration and redoing the seats now. I plan to take it to Carlisle Pa in May from my home near Toronto Canada for the import and kit car weekend. This year Volvo is featured as the marque brand and THEY ARE GIVING AWAY VINTAG P1800. The preregistration fee is $15. That gets your car anf 2 people in for the weekend. What a deal a car shoe and swap meet for $15. VCOA The Volvo Car Club of America (of which I am a member) is expecting a good turnout, last year there was close to 200 cars (and Volvo was not the feature Manufactured) I would like to invite everyone who can make it to make the treck. It is well worth it. As we all know Volvo owners are a friendly bunch and love to trade stories about their favorite subject (their Volvo's) I hope to see some of you there.MadeInJapan wrote:No one we know owns them....I've been here a few years and you're the first to inquire.

Steve, I'd be happy to start an older Volvo forum category... it takes just minutes. If you wouldn't mind helping get some traffic to it for "traction".
The 440 category never worked because there was no traction.
I'd be happy to send you business cards to give out at the Volvo meet with the MVS older Volvo URL on them etc. Whatever you need.
Also, which models would be good to include in the category?

Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!
1998 V70, no dash lights on
1997 850 T5 [gone] w/ MSD ignition coil, Hallman manual boost controller, injectors, R bumper, OMP strut brace
2004 V70 R [gone]

that would be great ! I have friends driving PV 444's, PV 544's, Duett's and 210's. There are also 120's (Amazon in the Netherlands) and of course 140's. Or just "rear wheel drive". I attend about 3 or 4 local events in the Toronto area, plus this year I am going to Carlisle that would be a great location to get the word out.
cards would be good . I can try to get things rolling by getting thr word out to a few friends now.
Steve

Let me know if I have the models right. I used Wikipedia to find some other models.
Email me your address: matt(at)matthewsvolvosite.com and I'll send you cards.
Thanks for the suggestion!
