1995 940t wagon Running poorly the 1st few min. when cold
OK, I have previously posted about having too much oil in my crankcase after a normal oil fill. I thought it might be coolant, but someone posted it may be gasoline. I am starting to think that might be correct. Now with the temps getting down into the 40's in the am, the car runs rough for the first 2 to 3 minutes after 1st starting. Slight idle hunt, and I mean slight, and runs rough, almost like a miss. Not sure what to check. For the 1st problem, I would assume that it would be a leaking injector, but how to find which on? 2nd problem, I would assume MAF, but when I had problems with my saabs in the past, the hunt was pronounced and the car ran fine otherwise. Any help appreciated. Starting to regret buying this car.

When engine is cold, just cycle key switch several times so fuel pump is engaged. Then, remove all spark plugs, and smell them.earlfleetwood wrote:leaking injector
Or, get a fuel pressure gauge, and hook it to the fuel rail, then cycle key switch once...does rail hold pressure.
If oil is rising with gasoline, the oil must be changed, and problem fixed.
