I really feel for animals that come to grief from man's intervention in their habitat. Such a beautiful graceful animal.

Problem today, in a number of US states, is the deer population is not hunted via natural predators, so the herd has grown in size.
I know in one state, in 1993, they had to hire professional hunters to take them out; too many vehicle accidents.
Around here, during rut, there is about one vehicle a day getting hit. Some forty years ago, few deer existed.
