2000 C70 no start - immobilizer?

Post by russt0469 »

Hi to all. My 1st posting. My ETS light has been coming on, had no codes, been removing the battery cable and light goes out. The other night I got gas and stopped for a pizza. While my wife was picking up the pizza I removed the positive battery cable to reset the light. When my wife came out it cranked over and over but never started. Could this have been the immobilizer because it started right up the3 following morning after we had it towed to the house. Any help would be appreciated.

The ETS light is not one that can be ignored - eventually the car will go into limp mode, or not start.

Look at the throttle body and see if it has a white (death) or yellow (worth cleaning) label on it.
