So the 240 was in production for 20 years, but in not one of those did it come with a cup holder.

Since 1974 240 owners have settled for total crap generic aftermarket crap cup holders that look bad and function even worse. A door panel mounted cup holder? Ever try closing the door with a full drink in the a door mounted cup holder? A vent mounted cup holder = a vent deleting cup holder. Come on.

Write the guy a thank you note for designing an outstanding, sturdy, functional and great looking 3D printable 240 cup holder ... and freely sharing it with the world.

My son printed two for me on an old (relatively) 3D printer with not-great resolution but it still came out fantastic. Take a look:

It's always had a 20 oz McDonald coffee cup heater...just sit one on the ledge there in center, and use foil to cover radio from coffee spills.

OMG ....for YEARS I've preached that the 240 was the perfect care except for the lack of a decent cupholder....I'll be in heaven once I find someone to "print" one for me...

After a gap of seven years, I recently returned to the Volvo family (the 240 series sub part).

Was delighted to stumble upon this article after a bit of googling. My family and I are members of our local maker-space ( http://www.bellinghamfoundry.com ). So, printing a copy was simple.

The result is working pretty well for me. I'll end up modifying it a bit so that it's a bit less snug.
