Is the Volvo 5 bolt pattern standard from 1994 to 2004?
I have a set of rims from my 850 turbo that I'd like to use as winter tires on a 2004 v70 I'm planning to buy this week.
Thanks in advance
Jason

If they are both Volvo rims on both cars, most of the rims have the dimensions and offset on the rear of the rims if they are alloys, and the steels I've seen have it stamped on the front.
Issue has come up recently about the hub center diameter. Needs to be correct or can cause horrible vibrations as wheels may not center on the hub.
My advice would be:
1) Make sure the 2004 has no locating pin like the 850's have for the wheel. If it does and there is not the deep pocket on the back of the rim, remove the pin and substitute a small bolt with a thread length of the same as the locating pin. If it is already a locating bolt you should be ok (or sometimes there is nothing at all).
2) Make sure the center bore of the hub is the same for both cars. Someone may already know this.
I think they are the same (I'm running S60 rims on my 2000 V70R).
3) Pitch of the lug-nut holes should be 5 x 108mm for both cars.
4) Finally watch out for brake calipers fouling on the rims. Try to make sure the offsets are similar. Around 43mm sounds right to me for 850/P80 S/V70. If the offset is greater watch out for rubbing on the rear of the flexible brake hoses and the fender skirts on the front when turning.
Hope this helps,
Neil.
