Remove the Fuel Relay, measure the resistance between #31 and #87 pins in the socket, it should be 1.0 Ohms.
Detail below:

At 262K miles, I'd look into Bosch 69693 ahead of time.

Excellent information, thank you very much! One thing I noticed in there pics is that the fuse that was blown for me was only a 15 amp, but yours is 20. Should I step up to that or stay with what was in there?

Factory is 20A for Fuse #3.
This means the fuse was blown before (? shorted fuel pump) and somehow replaced with 15A.
Maybe the fuel pump you have now has been replaced?
Anyway, I'd go back to 20A.

Maybe the pump was replaced, but not in the last 100k or so miles since I took it over from my father. I'll look over the service record. He kept it meticulously maintained, so it should say something, somewhere. Thanks to all you guys again. You all are why I'll always contribute at collection time.

Fuses can just blow from old age, and on a 15 year old car, thats old. That being said, the Euro type fuses with the wire bonded into plastic are much less prone to this than the wire in glass tube type IMHE
