The wrong bulbs have difficulty fitting in the base, so if the bulbs go right in, no problem, that's probably not your issue. Take the existing bulb from the fixture with you into the autoparts store for the correct match.

The wires can break inside the harness mine looked fine but when I performed a necropsy they were broken could try an additional ground wire too
