1995 850 Wgn Glued door locks

Hi
Can anyone offer advice on fixing glued door locks. All have been glued.
I would remove the cylinder as per directions in Haynes but I cannot insert the key.....
I would like to pull one from the junkyard and replace to keep costs down versus dealer, or the horror of a locksmith (so far 300 for one measly lock)
Can anyone offer advice and instructions?

If it's super glue, acetone or MEK will soften it.
Keep it off paint, and do it outdoors with plenty of ventilation.

Ugh, bad karma on those who do this.

I am no expert but am thinking:

- Remove the lock cylinder from the door (use the remote to open the door).
- Disassemble it to clean it up.

Most lock cylinders can be cleaned but you have to mark which pin goes to which hole etc.

The problem is that the key must be inserted into the lock to release it and get the cylinder out in the first place.

If the glue can be identified then Steve may have the idea, find a solvent - or perhaps heat - that will at least get the glue soft enough to get the key into the cylinder.

Remove all valuables and leave the doors unlocked. Lock the glove box with the key so your insurance and registration can be safe.

Maybe...get a flash light and a pick tool and start picking out the glue.

I appreciate the suggestion to use solvent, but unfortunately I am past that stage, and it is no surprise that it didn't work considering the capillary action effect that will move the glue further into the locking system making it hard to penetrate, the lack of ability to scrub the inside of cylinder as glue removers are intended to be used, the danger of melted glue solidifying again and causing more permanent trouble further into the cylinder, and well, there is just too much damn glue in there. I could break the key inside the cylinder as well which is more trouble not less.
So, I am looking to get the cylinder out without a key or locksmith..... Anyone?

If you can get the key in, get the entire lock mechanism out, soak in acetone for a few days, I think that's your best shot. Relubricate the lock mechanism and test it outside before reinstalling.

Alternatively, get a junkyard replacement rekeyed to your original key.
