You should be getting low 20 mpgs combined, high 20s on highway at 65.
What are you aiming for?

Do you mean a 5 speed auto as fitted to the non turbo in 2000 or a manual?
I constantly get what abscate posted above in an auto V70 except the figures look better in imperial measurments
With a manual and being a sedan which is 150 pounds lighter you should get high 20s around town and early 30s on the highway. Non turbos are fun to drive and very frugal (I can hear turbo owner envy coming on
)
Have you checked the cold air flap thermostat on the air cleaner? They lock up and direct hot air from the exhaust manifold instead of cold air from the grille.

I don't know about you guys, but since gas just hit about $2 I've been driving a lot differently than I usually do.... And it doesn't involve trying to save gas either.

Wow around $2 a gallon is cheap compared to what we pay in Ireland! I'm about to make everyone living in the US feel real good about paying $2 a gallon...
Our average price is currently around $6 a gallon. When i convert Euro to Dollar and then Litres to Gallons.
Mainland Europe would be similar.
Shocking the difference. I think i'll move to the US or start digging for oil in the back garden.
